Subscriptions

Keeper's Subscriptions tab in the Admin Console gives eligible administrators the ability to manage, purchase, and upgrade their organization's Keeper licenses directly — without leaving the console.

In-Console Checkout

In-Console Checkout is a new feature that streamlines the process of purchasing additional licenses, upgrading your plan, or adding on new products. Instead of being redirected to an external checkout page, eligible admins can complete purchases directly inside the Admin Console using a saved credit card on file.

This feature is designed to reduce friction for routine subscription changes, giving qualifying administrators a faster way to keep their organization's Keeper deployment up to date.

Who Can Use In-Console Checkout

In-Console Checkout is available when all of the following conditions are met:

  1. Be in the Administrator Role, either:

    • A Root Admin

    • A Non-Root Admin with the Billing Admin permission assigned to your role

  2. Credit Card as Payment Method - Your organization must have a valid credit card saved on file as the active payment method. In-Console Checkout is not available for accounts using SEPA or Purchase Order (PO).

  3. Active Paid Subscription Account Status - In-Console Checkout is not available for trial accounts and accounts with an expiring subscription.

If your account does not meet all of the above conditions, subscription management links (such as Add Users, Add Licenses, Upgrade Plan, and Add Storage) will redirect you to the standard external checkout page as usual.

Admin Permissions

Who Cannot Use In-Console Checkout

You will not have access to In-Console Checkout if any of the following apply:

  • You are a non-root admin without the Billing Admin permission.

  • Your organization's last payment method was SEPA or a Purchase Order.

  • Your account is currently on a trial or is in an expiring state.

In these cases, the standard Checkout page will be used for all subscription changes.

What You Can Do with In-Console Checkout

Eligible admins can perform the following actions directly from the Admin Console: add users, upgrade your plan and add available add-ons.

Add Users

Add additional user licenses to your existing plan. You can initiate this from either:

  • The Admin tab → Add User button (when no available seats remain)

  • The Subscriptions tab → Add Licenses button.

A purchase popup will appear where you can specify the number of additional users. Pricing reflects your current base plan.

Note: if you are on the Business Starter plan and your total user count exceeds 10, your plan will automatically be updated to Keeper Business and per-user pricing will be adjusted accordingly.

Purchase Process

When you initiate an in-console purchase, you will be guided through a 3 step popup:

  1. Configure Your Purchase - Select the number of users or the add-on you want to add.

  2. Confirmation Screen - Review the total price, prorated amount, applicable taxes, and any additional add-ons. You can click View Full Summary to open a detailed breakdown in a new tab (via the standard Checkout page).

  3. Once you click Complete Purchase, your request is processed immediately and the Subscriptions tab will automatically refresh to reflect your updated license count or newly added products.

    1. Successful Purchase - A confirmation popup will appear with a link to download your receipt.

    2. Failed Purchase - An error message will be displayed with a link to the Checkout page so you can complete the transaction manually.

Viewing Your Payment Method

If In-Console Checkout is available for your account, your organization's current payment method will be visible on the Subscriptions tab. To update your payment method, click the Update link, which will direct you to the Checkout page.

Frequently Asked Questions

I don't see an in-console purchase popup — I'm being redirected to Checkout. Why?

Your account may not meet one of the eligibility requirements (see Who Can Use In-Console Checkoutarrow-up-right above). Common reasons include the payment method on file not being a credit card, or your account being in a trial or expiring state.

I'm a non-root admin. Can I use this feature?

Yes, if your administrator has granted your role the Billing Admin permission. Contact your Root Admin to request this permission if needed.

Can I add KSM, KCM, or RBI licenses through In-Console Checkout?

No. These products require involvement from your Keeper sales representative. Please contact Keeper Salesarrow-up-right for assistance.

What happens if my purchase fails?

An error message will appear with a direct link to the Checkout page so you can complete the transaction. No charges will be applied for failed transactions.
