Instructions on how to import your passwords from LastPass to Keeper
Keeper supports multiple methods of importing your data from LastPass, both manual and automated. Choose one of the options below to begin.
Option 1: Automated Import With the Keeper Desktop App
The Keeper Desktop Application supports an automated import of your LastPass records into Keeper, including:
Passwords
Folders
Shared Folders
Templates and Custom Fields (into Keeper Record Types)
TOTPs
File Attachments
First you must download the Keeper Desktop App and log in as usual.
From the Account Dropdown Menu, click Settings > Import > Import (next to "Use Another Source") and from the dropdown menu select LastPass.
Enter your login credentials for LastPass and click Next.
Direct communication to lastpass.com and keepersecurity.com must be allowed by your network firewall, if using a product such as Zscaler or other proxy.
If you're using a Security Key with your LastPass account, switch to TOTP or an alternate MFA method first.
Review the import summary and check the box if you would like to import root level folders as shared, then click Confirm Import.
Option 2: Automated Import With Keeper Commander
Keeper supports automatic import of your LastPass Vault using Keeper Commander, our CLI tool.

Option 3: Manual .csv File Export from LastPass to Keeper
If the automated methods are not available to you, follow instructions below by importing a .csv file to the Keeper Web Vault.
Export
To import from LastPass, you must export your records first.
Log into the LastPass Web Vault, or, from the LastPass Browser Extension click on the LastPass Extension Icon > Open My Vault.
On the lower-left side, navigate to Advanced Options and under "Manage Your Vault" you will select Export. This will send you an email to confirm the export request.
Once confirmed, return to your LastPass Vault and select Export again.
Mac Users: Copy and paste the plain text output into TextEdit or any other text editor. On TextEdit select Format > Make Plain Text. Then save the file as a “.csv” plain text file with Unicode encoding.
Import
Log into the Keeper Web Vault.
From the Account Dropdown Menu, click Settings.
Click Import > Import (next to "Use Another Source") and from the dropdown menu select LastPass.
Make sure to delete the local LastPass file locally on your computer.

If you are using the browser extension, it will depend if your LastPass Extension includes the Binary Component.
With Binary Component: Enter a file name for your export, then click Save to save the CSV export file.
Without Binary Component: Your exported data will be displayed on a webpage, and also downloaded to your downloads folder as a .csv file named "lastpass_vault_export".
Drag-and-drop the exported .csv file onto Keeper's "Drop a File Here" window or browse for the file on your computer. Check the box if your file includes column headers, otherwise, the first row will be treated as data.
Once you have imported your credentials using one of the methods above, you can customize how you would like the information to appear in your vault in the field mapping screen. Here you'll see standard field names across the top that “map” to the data below for each Keeper record.
To adjust these mappings:
Click any field to open a dropdown menu
Select the appropriate field name from the list. Repeat this process across each column as needed
Click Next to finalize your selections.
Next, a summary screen will display a preview of your vault, showing the folder structure of your imported records. Here you can adjust the folder structure and click into individual records to preview their details before finalizing the import. Click Confirm Import to complete the import process.
