Remote Desktop Management
IT organizations are responsible for managing and controlling access to an ever-growing inventory of on-site and off-site servers, computers and devices. Through our partnership with Devolutions and their Remote Desktop Manager product, Keeper Enterprise users can:
  • Quickly launch highly-secure connections to privileged sessions, remote servers, virtual machines, websites and applications, all from a single platform.
  • Consolidate multiple connections into a single window to reduce desktop clutter.
  • Launch one-click connections, directly injecting credentials from the Keeper Vault into remote servers, systems, applications and websites.
  • Use Remote Desktop Manager's quick connect feature to quickly access a remote machine using Microsoft Remote Desktop, VNC or a web page; simply enter a host name or IP address to launch your connection.

Integrating Devolution's Remote Desktop Manager with Keeper

Create a Keeper Credentials Entry in Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager

In Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager, click the + to create a new entry
Select Credential Entry from the left menu, then select Keeper from the list and click OK
Name your Credentials entry, e.g. "Keeper Passwords". Optionally, you can place the entry in a folder. Then click Keeper from the left menu, provide your Keeper credentials and click Create
Note: By selecting Always prompt with list when launching a session, you will be prompted for which credentials to use for the session.

Start a Remote Desktop Manager Session with Keeper Credentials

In this step, we will create a connection entry to a remote desktop session.
Click + to create a new entry from the Devolution Remote Desktop Manager home screen. Choose the Session menu on the left and choose a connection type from the list. In this example, we will choose RDP (Microsoft Remote Desktop). Click OK
Name your session entry. In the Credentials field, choose Linked (Vault) and the Keeper entry you created earlier in this walkthrough, in our example, "Keeper Passwords". Click Create
Double click your newly created session from the left menu to open a remote session. Remote Desktop Manager will connect to your Keeper Vault and give you a list of possible credentials to login with. Choose the appropriate credentials and click OK
Note: If you would prefer not to be presented with a list of credentials for a session and would like to launch the session with the same user every time, click the session entry and choose Properties. Click Select from list, choose the credential you would like to use for the entry, and click OK.
