Instructions on how to import your passwords from 1Password to Keeper

Export

To import from 1Password, you must first export your records from the 1Password application on MacOS or Windows.

MacOS

1. Log into your 1Password account using a desktop computer.

2. Select the vault you want to export.

3. Choose File > Export > Your Vault

Export from 1Password on Mac

1. Enter your login credentials for 1Password.

2. Choose the file format: 1PUX or CSV, then click Export Data. The 1PUX format is preferred since it contains all data.

3. Choose a location to save the export. Make sure to delete this file after the import is complete.

Windows

1. Log into 1Password.

2. Select the vault you want to export.

3. Click on the 3 vertical dot menu and choose Export > Your Vault.

Export from 1Password on WIndows

1. Choose the file format: 1PUX or CSV, then click Export Data. The 1PUX format is preferred since it contains all data.

2. Choose a location to save the export file.

Import

1. From your Account Dropdown Menu, click Settings.

2. Click Import > Import (next to "Use Another Source") and from the dropdown menu select 1Password.

3. Drag-and-drop the exported file onto Keeper's "Drop a File Here" window or browse for the file on your computer. Check the box if your file includes column headers, otherwise, the first row will be treated as data.

4. Once you have imported your credentials using one of the methods above, you can customize how you would like the information to appear in your vault in the field mapping screen. Here you'll see standard field names across the top that “map” to the data below for each Keeper record.

   To adjust these mappings:

   • Click any field to open a dropdown menu

   • Select the appropriate field name from the list. Repeat this process across each column as needed

   • Click Next to finalize your selections.

5. Next, a summary screen will display a preview of your vault, showing the folder structure of your imported records. Here you can adjust the folder structure and click into individual records to preview their details before finalizing the import. Click Confirm Import to complete the import process.

Make sure to delete the local 1Password .csv or .1pux file locally on your computer.

CLI Import With Keeper Commander
