With KeeperFill, you can autofill your passwords and save new login credentials to your vault. The KeeperFill browser extension is available for every web browser.
This guide covers general instructions for all web browsers. For browser-specific information, such as installation and extension update instructions, click on the browser you are using below.
Users will be automatically logged into the KeeperFill Browser Extension upon signing into their Keeper Web Vault or they can log in by clicking on the Keeper icon located in their browser toolbar and entering their email address and Master Password.
KeeperFill's easily accessible search bar, allows users to search within their vault to quickly locate and fill the desired login credentials. It is important to note the key factors that determine the sort order of the record matches that are displayed:
A email address match that is present on the login page (such as a pre-filled email field)
The website subdomain and domain of the Keeper record URL (e.g. xyz.microsoft.com will first match xyz.microsoft.com and second, microsoft.com)
The website path (e.g. /some/path/to/file)
When a record was last filled or edited
Upon navigating to a site's login page, click the Keeper lock (that will appear when you hover over a form field) or the Keeper icon in your browser toolbar. If there is a matching record within your vault, click
Fill Record to autofill your credentials and log in.
If there is more than one record match, you can use the search bar to search within the various record matches to locate and fill the desired login credentials.
Hotkeys are alternative keyboard shortcuts that further streamline your experience using KeeperFill, reducing the number of mouse clicks it takes to complete an action. To navigate and login to a site using only your keyboard, follow the steps below:
To open KeeperFill, enter
command + shift + k (for Mac OS) or
alt + k (for Windows)
In the search field provided, begin typing your search terms.
arrow keys to locate a record in your vault.
Enter key to quickly fill your credentials and log in to the site.
If there is more than one matching record for a site, users can designate which record Keeper will autofill moving forward or simply choose to opt-out of the autofill feature for that single site entirely. While visiting the site, navigate to
Matching Records > Autofill Preferences then make your selection.
Users can easily create new records by clicking the
Create New button and selecting the record type (Login, Payment Card, or Address). Keeper will also offer to save your credentials as you enter them on a website login screen.
If it is the first time visiting a site while utilizing the KeeperFill Browser Extension, you will be asked if you would like to Keeper to auto-fill your login.
Users can edit their existing records directly from the KeeperFill Browser Extension by clickingthen

KeeperFill makes it easy to change your passwords. When a user visits a site's "Change Password" form, you will receive a prompt from Keeper asking if you would like help changing your password. By clicking
Yes Keeper will run a wizard that walks you through a few quick steps to change your password and simultaneously update the record in your vault. These steps will include a series of prompts detailing the following actions:
Autofill your old/current password
Automatically generate and autofill a new secure password
Confirm the changes and save them to your vault
To have Keeper automatically fill custom fields into login forms from your Keeper Web Vault, simply create a custom field in your record the name of the form field (e.g. "Account Number"). If the name matches the field of form field, Keeper will fill it for you.
Some sites have more than one domain (website address) that require the same login/password. If this is the case for any of your records, rather than creating an entirely separate record, users can store multiple website domains within one record. So no matter what domain you are logging in from, KeeperFill will recognize that domain as an alias and allow you to log in with the same stored credentials. To create a record containing multiple website domains, follow the steps below:
While editing a record, click
+ Custom Field
In "Custom Field Name" enter a name (e.g. Website Alias).
In "Custom Field Value" enter the site's alternate domain name.
To finish, click
Save. You can continue to repeat this process for additional domain names by repeating the steps above.
The "Match on Subdomain" setting allows KeeperFill to differentiate a record's subdomain (if present) from its domain. In doing so, only records that match the subdomain of the login page will be populated in KeeperFill.
Users can enable "Match on Subdomain" within the Settings menu of the KeeperFill extension window.
Records that contain a Two-Factor Authentication Code (2FA) can be filled with KeeperFill. Click on the KeeperFill extension icon andnext to the matching record.
Click under Two-Factor Code to copy and paste it into the code field.
If a website form field does not display the Keeper lock icon, users can right-click on a login field to produce a context menu with KeeperFill features. The context menu offers the ability to fill logins, two-factor codes, payment cards, addresses and even create new records.
